The Tebo lab develops new protein-based molecular imaging tools. The lab is particularly interested in enabling multiplexed measurements of indicators and tags as well as visualizing intercellular interactions. To do this, we employ protein engineering, directed evolution, and chemistry to develop and deploy both fluorescent protein-based and hybrid or chemogenetic systems.

The 4DCP research represents new challenges for fluorescence imaging and we expect this exciting new direction will lead to opportunities to work on complex problems in exciting new model systems.
