STEPHAN PREIBISCH

Team Lead, Computational Methods Development

Throughout my scientific career I have been focused on developing scalable, developer-friendly and user-friendly software for the reconstruction and analysis of light(sheet)- and electron microscopy datasets, which recently includes spatial transcriptomics data.

While being a trained computer scientist, I have in parallel worked for many years experimentally with a focus on deciphering transcriptional regulation using single-molecule transcription imaging approaches. This combination of experiences makes me especially excited about working on 4DCP-related projects. The Computational Methods Development team is home to scientists with a diverse set of expertise surrounding handling, reconstruction and analysis of microscopy datasets, including experts in state-of-the-art machine learning techniques. We are looking forward to working with you on your computational challenges and would be excited to cooperate with you to conceive new, interdisciplinary projects that we can enable together with you.
